The EcoBoost 1.6 Fiesta Pumaspeed X47 turbo was launched in January 2017, and since then the use of this unit has grown globally beyond our expectations. There have been two versions released over time, the X47 Classic (325bhp) listed here and the larger flowing X47R (340bhp) which has sold over 1000 units worldwide.
As Engines get older, pushing the limits of the 1.6 Fiesta ST180 Ecoboost engine may not be the most sensible option for you and your daily driver.

Q. how do i keep my engine safe at stage 3?, I need to get to work everyday.
If you are only looking to push your motor to 300bhp and keep it totally safe then look no further than a good old friend, the X47 Classic and MAXDOUT Mapping.
The X47 Classic is designed to keep your engine safe and your pocket happy. This unit will give you all the push and performance of a genuine Stage 3 Fiesta ST180 but not send the car into overboosting madness and engine damaging levels of performance.
What are the differences between the X47 classic and the X47R ?
Compressor Side.
The X47R has a 46mm red anodized Compressor Wheel, the X47 Classic has a silver 43mm anodized Compressor Wheel.(This almost eliminates the induction whistle that the 46mm Wheel on the X47R can emit)
The X47R has a Black coated Compressor cover, the X47 Classic is Silver as ford intended so its undetectable from external inspection.
Actuator
The X47 classic is supplied by Default with a Stock Ford Actuator set to 7 psi, ( we find this is more than good enough for 300-325bhp and has very smooth road driving characteristics on the V4702 tune file by MAXDOUT )
The X47R and Classic have options to add up to a 10psi actuator to give a more aggressive boost profile if required
Exhaust Side
The same Larger X47R shaft is employed on the X47 Classic but on the Classic we lower the cut back degree angle to promote near stock like spool times. ( we find this makes a very smooth boost profile from 1500 revs and can still flow over 325 bhp if pushed hard )
Power Numbers
As this unit has already been used and proven in the past we know it can give the following base numbers:
- 280 plus WHP (320-325bhp)
- 385 400 plus NM
All this can be done without pushing the boost too hard on the stock Fiesta ST180 EcoBoost Engine.
Tuning Files.
Pumaspeed MAXDOUT have two Suitable Tuning files we are able to provide,
the V4701 file is proven to run 300-310 bhp, (Low Boost)
the V4702 file is proven to run 315-325 bhp directly out of the box.(Med Boost)
Of course we do suggest that you have suitable other hardware such as intercoolers, Exhausts and Downpipes, Air Filter Kits etc but the most important thing we suggest is the R-Sport Cross over Pipe that will smooth air flow into this Remastered Classic Turbo and its Silicone and CNC entry Mouth.

PLEASE NOTE :
For warranty purposes you will need an oil change. This is an essential thing to carry out with a turbo change.
